Secret Crafter Challenge 105: Oriental

Good morning Secret Crafter fans,
I hope that you are having a great day how ever you decide to spend your time, I am going to my nieces wedding later today so thank blogger for scheduled post's. I do hope that the weather stays dry for her, the weather in Cornwall can be a more that a little unpredictable to say the least, so may I ask you all to keep your fingers crossed for some beautiful sunshine today please.

So on with the show lol, this week's challenge was set today by the lovely Tracie and she has chosen an Oriental theme, its a good choice you can use some origami or go with a floral design or just use some kenji to decorate your card or if you are really good with a sewing machine you could sew some silk on your card or even do some silk painting for your main focus of your card.
So without further adieu here is my creation,

I chose to make an easel card and this is how it was made, the Samurai boy is from Secret Crafter and I coloured him with Copics, the extra shading was done using Polychromos, in Sepia, with Sansodor and a paper stump, the background papers are from DCWV Oriental book, I know that Wendy stocks some of DCWV  at the Secret Crafter.

I then created an Origami stork, using a piece of handmade silk paper from my stash, which I mounted at the front of the card, he actually folds flat when you close the card, so it will still fit inside an envelope.

I also added a Double luck coin and some ribbon from my crafty stash...

Here's a list of the items I used, that you can get from Secret Crafter, and dont forget, its free delivery on all orders over £10, in the UK.

Oval Nestabilities
Copics E50, E52, E000,B00,B93, B12
Samurai Boy

So Peeps, thats it from me, and don't forget to check out the other lovely ladies blogs, from SCSC DT, have a lovely weekend, and good luck with this weeks Challenge, and don't forget, its all about having fun.
