Its tons of fun with Secret Crafter : 116 Tons of Texture

Good morning Secret Crafter buds.

Many thanks to everybody who took part in last weeks challenge over at The Secret Crafter, this week, the challenge has been set by the Lovely talented Helen, and is Tons of Texture, so its certainly something to get your crafty minds going.

So on with the Challenge.

For my DT card this week I used some handmade paper for the background then used a nestie label and wound some old wool around it to add a little texture, then I recycled some  cardboard that was in the bin and pulled off the top to reveal the corrugated centre.

For this card I also did some experimenting, in an old mince pie silver tray, I melted some clear embossing powder, with a heat gun, then added some gold embossing powder, mixed them together, then poured it onto a heat proof sheet and then pressed the stamp that I had inked up with a clear embossing pad, into the molten powders, then I used some mica powders for the coloured detail.

And last but not least the flower is a Sizzix large die from Tim Holtz and some chipboard thats been lying around for about 3 years in the bottom of me cupboard, I coloured it using Adirondack alcohol inks then triple embossed it for the shiny finish.

To finish off, I slightly melted a little bit of white chiffon ribbon, with a heat gun to make it bend and curl, and attached it to the card.

Good luck in this weeks challenge, and don't forget to hop onto the other SCSC DT for some more inspiration.

I look forward to visiting your blogs this week, to see what you have all made.

Hugs Bridget. xx

Here's a list of items I used.
