Good Morning SCSC Fans I do hope that everyone is well and up for a brand new challenge chosen by the lovely Suzie, this weeks theme is Distressing, we also have a lovely guest DT working with us this month, the lovely Kate from Downrightcrafty, be sure to pop over and say hi. and also hop on over to all the over lovely SCSC DT girls, to check out their fabulous creations too.
Well folks I'm not quite sure if the card was distressed but I was by the time I finished lol, it took me three attempts to make a card for this week, distressing is not my forte, I will put my hands up and be the first to admit that, the other two cards landed neatly in the recycle bin, lol.
Well folks I'm not quite sure if the card was distressed but I was by the time I finished lol, it took me three attempts to make a card for this week, distressing is not my forte, I will put my hands up and be the first to admit that, the other two cards landed neatly in the recycle bin, lol.
So firstly I would like to apologise for my not so Brilliant attempt, but I must say I did put a lot of heart into it. So onward with the challenge........
For this card I used A Graphicus Smell the Roses Themeplate, with which I stamped onto a piece of watercolour card and then coloured the Rose head with Promarkers in Ivory and Pale Pink, for the leaves I put some TH Distress inks onto a palette, and used a watercolour brush to add the ink.
To get the really antiquated look, I covered the entire image with TH Distress Inks, and then sanded the entire surface lightly with fine sandpaper, I applied the same sanding technique to the background papers.
I then added parcel string around the card, and a button in the corner, then down the side I placed a piece of lace, to which I then added 3 rose heads, to finish it off.
Anyways, onto the card.
Thanks for stopping by Peeps, good luck in the challenge.
I'll be stopping by to look at your wonderful entries, so get crafting, lol, take care, hugs Bridget. x :)

Bridget, this is well and truly distressed. What a fabulous card and I bet those you threw in the bin were perfectly fine. Thank you for putting so much effort, you've done a brilliant job. Hugs, Wendy x
